Overview

We appreciate you taking the time to visit Cima Real Estate, accessible online at www.cimarealestatetx.com (the “Site”). Cima Real Estate is a Dallas-based real estate company specializing in owner-financed homes. This Privacy Policy describes the steps we take to collect, store, use, and, in certain limited circumstances, share the personal information you provide to us. Please read it carefully before using the Site or any of the services we offer through it.

Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy governs the information we gather each time you interact with us through the Site, whether you are: (a) browsing the Site or using any of its features; (b) reading our property listings, blog articles, guides, videos, or other material related to owner-financed homes and real estate services (the “Content”); (c) following or engaging with our profiles on third-party social platforms such as Facebook®, Instagram®, or LinkedIn® (collectively, “Social Media Pages”); (d) reviewing openings for employment or career opportunities at Cima Real Estate (“Career Opportunity Listings”); (e) exploring ways to participate in the Cima Real Estate referral program (“Referral Program”); and/or (f) filling out any contact or inquiry form on the Site (“Contact Services”) to request that Cima Real Estate or one of our affiliated real estate product or service partners (“Third Party Service Providers”) reach out to you with details about available owner-financed homes, listings, or related financing options offered by those partners (“Third Party Products”) or by Cima Real Estate directly (“Cima Real Estate Products”; and collectively with all of the above, the “Site Offerings”).

Any capitalized terms used but not defined in this Privacy Policy carry the meanings assigned to them in the Cima Real Estate Terms and Conditions posted on the Site (“Terms and Conditions”). By accessing or using the Site Offerings, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Privacy Policy in full. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Site or its services.

Information We Collect From You

We define “personal information” as any information that can be used to identify a specific individual. When you use our Contact Services or complete any form on the Site, we may ask you to provide some or all of the following: (a) your full legal name; (b) a phone number where we can reach you; (c) your email address; (d) the zip code or neighborhood you are interested in; (e) a resume or employment history, if you are applying for a position with us; and/or (f) any additional details requested on a specific form.

Once you submit your information and one of our team members follows up with you directly by phone, email, or another channel, we may ask for a few additional details to better understand your situation and match you with the right property. This may include: (i) information about your current housing circumstances and financial readiness; (ii) your preferred timeline for moving; and/or (iii) any other details that help us identify suitable owner-financed options for you. This follow-up information is treated as “Sensitive Information” under this Privacy Policy.

How We Use Your Information

When you submit a form through the Site, you are authorizing Cima Real Estate to use the information you provide, including any Sensitive Information, to respond to your inquiry, connect you with available owner-financed properties, and facilitate introductions to relevant Third Party Service Providers. Those providers may use your information for any legally permitted purpose consistent with completing your request, including following up with you about Third Party Products.

No mobile information or opt-in consent for SMS will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

As part of the property review or qualification process, Cima Real Estate and its Third Party Service Providers may take steps to verify your identity and cross-reference the details you have submitted against available records. Submitting your information through the Site constitutes your consent to allow this kind of review.

Outside of what is described in this Privacy Policy, Cima Real Estate will not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing or financial benefit. However, by providing your information to us, you do grant Cima Real Estate permission, subject to applicable law, to contact you by phone or email and to send you marketing materials about Cima Real Estate listings or programs, and occasionally about offerings from our trusted third-party partners, that we believe may be relevant to your home search. You can withdraw this permission at any time using the steps outlined in the “Opt-Out / Unsubscribe” section below.

We may engage outside vendors and service providers to support our day-to-day operations, such as companies that handle email delivery, data cleanup, or usage analytics. These vendors are given access to user information only to the extent needed to carry out their specific tasks, and they are not permitted to use that information for any other purpose.

Your information may also be used to respond to customer service inquiries, personalize your experience on the Site, conduct internal research and analysis, and improve the quality of our services. From time to time, we may also combine information you provide with data obtained from other sources to better understand your needs.

By submitting a form on this Site, you acknowledge that your action constitutes an inquiry under the Amended Telemarketing Sales Rule (16 CFR §310 et seq.), as updated from time to time (the “Rule”), and under applicable state do-not-call laws. This means that even if your phone number appears on the FTC Do-Not-Call Registry or a state equivalent, Cima Real Estate retains the right to contact you in connection with your inquiry under the Rule and applicable regulations.

If you have given us your “prior express consent” as that term is defined under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), you agree to receive automated phone calls and/or SMS text messages from Cima Real Estate or a designated Third-Party Service Provider at the number(s) you provided. This consent is entirely optional. You can still access and use the Site Offerings without it. It simply allows those additional contact methods to be used. Importantly, if your phone number ever changes for any reason, including reassignment to someone else, porting to a different line type, or simply no longer being in service, you are responsible for letting us know promptly by emailing info@cimarealestatetx.com or using the contact details in the “Contact Us” section of this page.

There are limited situations in which Cima Real Estate may need to disclose personal information (including Sensitive Information) to outside parties: (i) if we have reason to believe the Site has been used in violation of our Terms and Conditions or in connection with illegal activity; (ii) if we receive a valid legal subpoena. Where permitted by law, we will attempt to give you advance notice and an opportunity to respond before any disclosure is made; (iii) if Cima Real Estate undergoes a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (“M&A Transactions”), including during the due diligence phase of any such transaction. In any of these events, you will receive notice by email or a prominent Site announcement about what is changing and what options you have; or (iv) if Cima Real Estate becomes subject to bankruptcy proceedings.

You also consent to Cima Real Estate disclosing information when we, in good faith, determine that applicable law requires it, including sharing email addresses with suppression list providers in accordance with the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003. Additionally, courts such as U.S. Bankruptcy Courts may, under certain circumstances, have legal authority to authorize the transfer of personal data to third parties independently of this policy.

Automatically Collected Information

Device & Browser Data

When you visit pages on our Site, certain technical information about your device is collected automatically. This includes the browser you are using (such as Chrome, Safari, or Firefox), your IP address, your operating system (such as Windows or iOS), and the name of your internet service provider. This information is not tied to your identity. We use it to monitor Site performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve the overall user experience. We may also analyze this data in aggregate form to better understand how people use our Site.

Cookies

Like most websites, Cima Real Estate uses cookies, small data files placed on your device, to assign a unique anonymous identifier to your browser session. Cookies allow us to remember your preferences, track which pages you visit, and measure how long visitors spend on the Site. They help us deliver a more relevant and consistent experience. You can learn more about cookies at www.cookiecentral.com.

You have the option to disable cookies through your browser settings. Instructions for doing so vary by browser, but most popular browsers include this option in their privacy or security settings. Be aware that disabling cookies may limit your access to certain features or functionality on the Site. We reserve the right to retain cookie data for as long as it serves a legitimate operational purpose.

Behavioral Tracking

To help us understand how visitors engage with the Site and to deliver relevant content and advertising, we partner with outside analytics and marketing services. These providers, which may include platforms like Google®, deploy their own cookies, pixels, and tracking tools on our Site to gather data about browsing patterns and user interests, both here and on other websites. This data helps us measure the effectiveness of our marketing and improve the Site experience. Please be aware that Cima Real Estate does not control how these third-party services track you, and our responsibility for their practices is limited to the fullest extent the law allows.

If you would like to reduce or eliminate Google®-related tracking, you have two straightforward options: you can update your ad preferences directly through Google’s Ad Settings, or you can install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on, which prevents your visit data from being sent to Google Analytics entirely.

Beyond Google, there are broader opt-out options available to you. Most modern browsers include a “Do Not Track” setting in their privacy controls. You can manage your ad preferences directly through Meta’s Ad Privacy Center for Facebook and Instagram, or enable the Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser, a signal that participating websites and ad networks are legally required to honor in several U.S. states. Keep in mind that opting out of targeted tracking won’t eliminate ads from your experience. This simply means the ads you see will be generic rather than tailored to your activity.

Cross-Device Tracking

To provide a consistent and personalized experience, Cima Real Estate may track your activity across the different devices you use, such as your phone, tablet, or desktop computer. Some personal information may be collected as part of this process. If you choose to opt out of cross-device tracking, please be aware that you may need to re-enter certain information each time you switch devices.

Aggregated Usage Data

Cima Real Estate may compile and share statistical data about how visitors use the Site with third parties for legitimate business purposes. This aggregated data reflects patterns and trends across our user base as a whole and does not identify any individual user.

Social Media

We maintain active pages on social media platforms to stay in touch with our community and share updates about available properties. If you comment on, message, or otherwise interact with us through any of our Social Media Pages, please keep in mind that: (a) what you post may be visible to other users of those platforms, depending on the privacy settings on your own account, and could be used by others to contact you without your permission; and (b) when Cima Real Estate replies to you publicly on social media, your username or handle will be visible to anyone who follows or visits our account.

Each social media platform operates independently with its own terms, privacy rules, and data practices. Cima Real Estate is not responsible for how those platforms handle your information or for any content visible on their interfaces. We encourage you to review the privacy settings and policies of any platform you use before sharing personal information on it.

External Links

Our Site may include links to websites operated by third parties, such as listing platforms, lenders, or other service providers we work with. Once you click away from our Site, this Privacy Policy no longer applies. Those external sites set and enforce their own rules around data collection and privacy, and Cima Real Estate takes no responsibility for their content or practices. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any third-party site before submitting personal information to it.

If you want to stop all communication entirely, you will need to withdraw any outstanding inquiries you have submitted through the Site.

You have the right to know what personal information Cima Real Estate holds about you, to request corrections if anything is inaccurate, and to ask us to delete your data entirely.
